McDonald’s UK to shutter all restos to pay respects for Queen’s funeral

She died last week at the age of 96.

 

McDonald’s UK restaurants will be shuttered on Monday, 19 September from 12 midnight to 5 p.m. to allow everyone to pay their respects to Queen Elizabeth II, who passed away last week.

 

“Operating hours and services may vary after 5pm, so please check our app before travelling,” read the announcement on Twitter.

 

Queen Elizabeth, who died at 96, is named as the UK's longest-reigning monarch.
