QOOT restaurant group tackles homelessness with Only A Pavement Away partnership
The company said it is proactively recruiting service personnel, homeless and ex-offenders.
London restaurant group QOOT, which operates brands including By CHLOE and The Lebanese Bakery, announced a partnership with charity Only A Pavement Away aimed to provide support amongst ex-offenders, ex-military and the homeless seeking new employment.
From 1 September, QOOT will be putting payment pads in all their venues to raise funds for the sector by asking customers to donate to the charity.
The company said it is also proactively recruiting service personnel, homeless and ex-offenders for its planned expansion and openings over the coming months, including next month’s opening of The Lebanese Bakery at Harrod’s.
QOOT will also support Only A Pavement Away’s ‘Fill A Flask’ campaign designed to distribute thermal flasks to people sleeping rough. On 26 August, QOOT locations at Tower Bridge, Victoria, Oxford Circus and Covent Garden will be used as filling stations and members of their team will distribute cold water in refillable flasks to homeless in London.
The partnership will also include working with Only A Pavement Away on their Christmas campaign with a team of volunteers already eager to help.
QOOT has opened a number of new delivery kitchens over recent months with their portfolio of brands.
