The Avocado Show gears up for growth across EMEA
Eric Lefebvre joins this year’s conference to talk about brand expansion strategies.
The Avocado Show is gearing up for a five-year expansion plan across EMEA as the brand leverages the rising trend of consumers looking for more high-quality offerings at accessible price points.
Eric Lefebvre, Chief Development Officer at The Avocado Show is joining the Brand Expansion Panel to talk about growth strategies in the UK at the upcoming QSR Media UK Conference & Awards 2024, happening on 21 May in the De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms in London, UK.
Ahead of the conference, QSR Media had a quick chat with Eric about his thoughts on the latest industry trends.
QSR Media: What are some of the interesting trends you've noticed in the past year that QSR leaders should keep an eye out for?
Eric: Over the past year, we’ve noticed a rising trend amongst consumers favouring fast-casual dining—high-quality food and beverages at accessible price points. At The Avocado Show, we’re attuned to this shift, aligning our offerings to cater precisely to this demand. Our commitment to ensuring a unique and enjoyable dining experience lies in the quality of our food, the beauty of our dishes and interior design, the passion of our teams and competitive pricing.
What has been your top challenge for the year and how did you and your brand overcome it?
As a unique mono-product restaurant destination, it is crucial to keep innovating to stay relevant and ahead in our industry. Embracing ongoing innovation is both a necessity and a challenge. However, our team at The Avocado Show is steadfast in meeting this challenge head-on, constantly pushing the envelope to drive growth and maintain our position as the leading avocado brand. We have two exciting openings planned for 2024 in countries where we already operate, and we plan to continue expanding over the next five years with franchise partners across the EMEA region.
How do you think QSRs could maintain their competitive advantage in a quickly changing landscape?
The restaurant and hospitality industry is expected to embrace several transformative trends, each geared towards enhancing the guest experience, improving operational efficiency, and responding to the evolving demands of a digitally connected world. Margins are under tremendous pressure, and there is a shortage of personnel, so business operations must be more efficient.
Due to economies of scale, chains are better equipped to overcome challenges such as personnel costs, rising procurement prices, and shortages of personnel compared to individual hospitality concepts. There is also a focus on continually improving menus and methodologies through the use of AI and technology. Efficiently designed kitchens are also part of the equation.
What opportunities are you looking to invest in this year?
At The Avocado Show, our focus remains steadfast on innovation and quality as we chart our course for growth in the year ahead. We see opportunities to invest in new product development and push the boundaries of culinary creativity to delight our customers with fresh, exciting avocado-centric dishes and beverages. Equally important to us is the cultivation of partnerships with like-minded suppliers, who share our dedication to quality, ensuring that every ingredient we use meets our standards for quality.
