Chipotle partners with Virgin Sport to launch run club

Runners are treated to burritos and other items after each session.

Chipotle has partnered with Virgin Sport for a weekly 8-10km training run club which starts and finishes at a Chipotle restaurant in London.

The Virgin Sport & Chipotle Run Club started last 6 February and is part of the the Virgin Sport Hackney Half training runs programme that encourages participants to sign-up for sessions ahead of the Hackney Half Marathon on 19th May.

"We already have a huge fitness fanbase and it feels like a natural progression to offer our customers the opportunity to build up a healthy appetite by taking part in a free weekly run club before refuelling with Chipotle. Our customisable menu makes it easy for runners to design a meal to suit their training regime," Jacob Sumner, operations director for Chipotle in Europe, said.

Runners can register for a place at the Virgin Sport & Chipotle Run Club via the Virgin Sport website.

Chipotle currently operates seven restaurants in London at locations including Soho, Baker Street, Islington and Monument.
