German Doner Kebab to spend £2 million for Scotland expansion
The Glasgow-headquartered chain expects to create up to 150 jobs.
German Doner Kebab (GDK) announced it will expand across Scotland through an investment of more than £2 million.
The fast food chain will launch a second Glasgow branch and an Edinburgh outlet in July, whilst its Aberdeen store is due to open in the fourth quarter.
GDK says they expect the move to create up to 150 jobs.
The news follows the chain’s earlier announcement to launch 100 franchise outlets in Saudi Arabia for the next ten years.
“Our new outlets in Glasgow, Edinburgh and Aberdeen will give us key strategic locations to reach more consumers whilst also creating significant job opportunities throughout the country,” GDK managing director Daniel Bunce said.
The company will also explore and identify new opportunities as they forge ahead with their growth strategy for Scotland and the rest of the UK.
GDK, which is part of the Hero Brands group owned by the Sarwar family, operates in the UK, Sweden, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Oman and Bahrain.
