TGI Fridays faces financial difficulties

The American-themed chain, which has two outlets in Cardiff, one in Newport, is reportedly looking for a buyer.

According to Wales Online, Electra Private Equity is calling in City advisers to work on potential options for its ownership of the chain. Sources said a sale was one option that would be explored by Electra, but that it would also examine whether to use its financial firepower to acquire rival chains which had been hit by financial distress.
