Papa John's UK introduces in-store experience day
It now offers the aspiring franchisees to visit the European Head Quarters on an extended tour.
It also includes paying a visit to Papa John’s operational facility including the dough making factory, potential franchisees can experience working in a store first-hand, making pizza, and meeting key staff.
“When franchisees consider joining the Papa John’s family, it is very much a two-way evaluation process,” explains Phil Gaffer, franchise sales and business development manager, Papa John’s. “It is essential we only recruit the very best franchisees and so at first we meet face-to-face, then suitable candidates are invited to an in-store experience day. The agenda is carefully designed for them to observe and learn about the culture and values of Papa John’s and also experience how one of our stores is run.
“We minimise the numbers of people we invite to HQ to ensure they receive individual attention and importantly we can get to know them too,” continues Gaffer. “It means they get a real taste for what has made Papa John’s so successful and what it really takes to run a franchised store.
“I am always proud to introduce our international training manager Kieron Mcveigh who hosts the day. His passion for pizza shines through and he is an inspiration to our visitors.”
Ahmed who recently attended a Papa John’s in-store experience day said, “It was a great insight to watch and follow the journey of an order through to the point of delivery. I was impressed with the quality of other candidates who came along and felt we all benefited from the questions asked. I fully understand why the Papa John’s is so open and dedicates so much time to the details of operations and practicalities before we drill-down into business planning. I really enjoyed the day and got to wear the Papa John’s hat and apron and slap some dough! I even made one of the world-famous pizzas which was delicious! I now know what’s involved and what I need to do to achieve success with Papa John’s help.”
