Drone delivery has achieved significant customer satisfaction, according to a recent survey conducted by DroneUp. The survey reveals that respondents gave drone delivery a Net Promoter Score (NPS) of 70/
Additionally, drone delivery earned over 90% positive ratings on key aspects of the customer delivery experience. Customers expressed confidence that their packages would arrive safely when expected, they would be informed about the delivery status, and the packages would be delivered to appropriate locations.
The survey also revealed that drone delivery received over 98% positive ratings on the condition and contents of the delivery packages. This indicates that customers are confident in receiving what they expect and that their items will arrive in the expected condition.
The survey also highlighted the impact of drone delivery on shopping behaviour. It was found that 36% of respondents came to the e-commerce website knowing at least one item they wanted to purchase, but they ended up adding more items to their cart. This trend shows that drone delivery drives incremental purchases, with larger basket sizes frequently observed among consumers.
Additionally, the survey indicated a high potential for repeat business. Of the respondents, 42% expect to use drone delivery services daily or weekly, showing that once customers experience drone delivery, they see it as a practical and improved delivery option.
