Chapati Man's first US store launching on 25 October
Food-to-go sites are in the pipeline.
Chapati Man is set to kickstart its US expansion with its first store in the Big Apple this month.
Headed by Tejas Vemparala from The Chaat is Safe Inc., Chapati Man food carts will roll out across the state, with fixed food-to-go sites in Manhattan following “very soon.”
The expansion is the result of founders Chris and Andrea Rai selling the master franchise rights to Vemparala earlier this year.
Chris Rai, the owner and co-founder of Chapati Man, believes
“This a huge statement for the Chapati Man brand and concept. Seeing the roll-out of mobile units in New York is a massive achievement. I can’t wait to see our Indian elephant branding on the streets of the Big Apple,” Chris said in a statement.
“Whilst our first cart is in Manhattan, this undertaking would not be possible without everyone from our food supply chain in New Jersey to our wrapping designer in Queens. Our first presence in Midtown East will be the first of many locations across all boroughs in NYC,” Vemparala added.
