The bakery chain announced that it will relocate its main office to Quorum Business Park.
Roger Whiteside, chief executive of Greggs, said: "This move is a positive and exciting step for us and gives us the opportunity to bring all of our central functions into one location.
"I am proud that although we are a thriving national company with more than 1,660 shops UK-wide we continue to be rooted firmly in the North East community where the Greggs story first began more than 75 years ago."
