HEYTEA deal marks latest boost to Chinatown London F&B cluster
Additional openings include Arôme Bakery, Kawan by Uncle Roger, and SanHao.
Chinese tea chain HEYTEA is set to open its second site in Chinatown, London, this summer, joining a wave of recent F&B arrivals in the district.
The brand will take a c2,600 sq ft unit at 118–120 Shaftesbury Avenue, serving fruit teas, milk teas and matcha.
It adds to the area’s existing line-up of tea operators, including Happy Lemon, Tsujiri, and Woo Tea.
Elsewhere in Chinatown, Arôme Bakery has opened at 92 Shaftesbury Avenue in a 900 sq ft unit, offering French-Asian bakery items and adding soft serve to its menu for the first time.
Pan-Asian restaurant Kawan by Uncle Roger has also launched on Macclesfield Street in a c1,600 sq ft space, serving a broad Asian menu with modern British influences.
The opening is backed by comedian Uncle Roger (aka Nigel NG).
The new openings follow the debut of noodle concept SanHao, which sits within a 3,000 sq ft unit facing Newport Place.
The restaurant focuses on made-to-order dishes, including ban mian and soup noodles, and comes from the team behind Kawan by Uncle Roger, The Eight, and YiQi.
