Japanese restaurant group Taro has opened its ninth branch in Brighton, marking its first move outside London.
The 70-seat restaurant is located at 60 Ship Street.
Inspired by the Japanese concept of “Taishu Shokudo,” an everyday dining room, Taro Brighton will serve a range of signature dishes, including ramen and udon noodles, as well as sushi, sashimi, and tempura.
Menu highlights include gyoza, takoyaki, and taro bento boxes.
A new item created for the branch, the Brighton Roll, combines salmon, prawn, tuna, and yellowtail with asparagus, avocado, and tobiko, topped with spicy mayo.
The drinks menu will include hot and cold sake, Japanese beers, and a rotating selection of soft drinks, with their signature cocktail, the lychee martini.
Taro currently operates restaurants in Brewer Street (Soho), Balham, Kennington, Finchley Central, Pimlico, Walthamstow, Brentwood, and Catford.
