LEON to open first U.S. site in Washington D.C.
Its planned opening date is on August 20.
Fast food chain LEON has announced its plans to open its first location in the United States in downtown Washington D.C.
The brand, known for their Mediterranean-leaning menu, has leased space at Washington Square at 1050 Connecticut Avenue with a planned opening date on August 20.
“We chose D.C. as our entry point into the U.S. market because of its culturally creative mindset, pedestrian-friendly landscape and foodie-lifestyle. Choosing the first American city is like trying to choose from your favorite box of chocolates,” LEON co-founder John Vincent said, adding that they are “looking forward” to opening more sites in the country.
LEON is also aiming for 100% renewable energy and says it has significantly increased the number of plant-based dishes and has removed all plastic straws and cutlery.
