MOD Pizza opens Leicester site
This is the U.S.-based fast casual chain ninth outlet in the UK.
Continuing its growth in the UK is MOD Pizza, who recently opened its latest UK store in Leicester.
Located at the Highcross Centre, they offered free pizza for the first 50 customers during opening day, with 10 people winning free pizza for a year.
MOD donated its first day’s pizza sales to a local charity partner ‘Y’ Project, who support and house homeless youth in Leicester.
The new site joins MOD’s existing restaurants in London, Borehamwood, Leeds, Nottingham, Romford, Watford and Gateshead.
“We are extremely excited to open in Leicester and bring MOD to this fantastic community," John Nelson, CEO of MOD Pizza UK said. "We are delighted to be able to spread even more MODness in the heart of the town centre with the opening of our 9th restaurant in the UK."
MOD Pizza was founded in Seattle, U.S.A. in 2008 by entrepreneur husband and wife team Scott and Ally Svenson.
