PizzaExpress launches in Oxford Services
It created 40 new jobs in the area.
On December 8th, motorway service operator Welcome Break welcomed its first PizzaExpress restaurant at the Oxford Services on the M40 (junction 8A).
The 88-seater restaurant will offer table service to both hotel guests and motorway service visitors and will be open for 11 hours per day, from 11am until 10pm.
Welcome Break CEO Rod McKie said, “We are looking forward to the first PizzaExpress opening at Oxford Services. We are confident that our customers will welcome the addition of one of the UK’s most popular and much loved restaurant brands to Welcome Break. In recent years we have seen a growing trend with our customers, both business and leisure, wanting to spend more time at our service stations across the UK and be able to enjoy a dining experience comparable to that on the high street.
"I am delighted that PizzaExpress will allow us to offer that experience to our customers. Our joint aim is to open many more Pizza Express restaurants across our UK motorway network.”
PizzaExpress CEO JinLong Wang said, “This new opening represents a key part of the company’s expansion, extending our brand footprint into new locations and formats. We are delighted to be working with Welcome Break and bringing our PizzaExpress to the Oxford Services."
