Thai Express debuts at Grand Central
This is the brand's fifth site in the UK.
Thai Express has recently opened its first regional restaurant at Grand Central, as part of the Bullring Estate in Birmingham,
The new restaurant features a street-food style open kitchen with two wok stations to cater for customers dining-in and getting takeaway.
The interior design, meanwhile, is reportedly inspired from Bangkok’s architecture using concrete and metal juxtaposed with wood and greenery.
The site is the fifth site in the UK and the second one outside of London. The global brand was brought to the country in 2012 by Sachin and Uzma Pattani.
“Opening our fifth UK restaurant and first in the West Midlands is a real milestone in our brands global expansion. We specialise in combining traditional Thai cuisine with new-world design and flavours, and are thrilled to now offer this passion for authentic Thai food with our new customers in Birmingham," Sachin said, who also serves as the brand's managing director.
Thai Express currently has more than 300 locations worldwide.
