It reached £300,000, 66% above target, and became Crowdcube’s fastest restaurant raise.
The plant based burger company, The Vurger Co, completed a successful crowdfunding campaign on 6th of July.
The crowdfunding campaign was launched on July 3rd, and the company has reached its target within 30 hours, making it the fastest restaurant raise on Crowdcube. Neil Potts and Rachel Hugh, co-founders of TVC, had hope to raise £180,000 in exchange for 23.08% equity. The campaign closed on July 6th and has raised £300,000, changing the equity offer to 33.33%.
Neil and Rachel said, “We are extremely excited that we hit the £300k mark in just 77 hours, we just love that everyone has got behind our mission, believed in us and our team and understood how much of an impact our concept can have on the future of food! We cannot wait to start working on our permanent home!”
