Wok & Go parent inks Middle East franchising deal
The move comes less than a year after the company’s expansion to mainland Europe.
Pheby Food Concepts Group, the food and beverage company behind noodle bar chain Wok & Go, has signed an international franchise agreement with Bahrain-based healthy, fast-food restaurant Box It to expand in the Middle East.
The agreement will allow them to introduce six of Pheby’s food and beverage brands to 28 locations in the country, which it says will make them available to 80% of the entire population.
The move comes less than a year after the company’s expansion to mainland Europe where it opened its first Wok & Go branch in Portugal.
Apart from Wok & Go and pizzeria Dough Dough, the brands heading to Bahrain include four of the company's 'dark kitchens', which are Jack Burrito, Artisan Wrap Co, Go Pho and The Ramen Company.
“This is a fantastic opportunity for all of our brands, especially when considering the tough times and challenges that the hospitality industry has been put through during the Covid-19 pandemic,” Pheby Food Concepts Group founder Des Pheby said.
