McDonald's UK announces new Senior Vice President
Claire Hall was appointed as the new Senior Vice President, in charge of People.
Hall will oversee the 100,000-strong workforce and lead on customer service, recruitment, training and the education programmes including its apprenticeship scheme.
McDonald’s UK CEO, Paul Pomroy said, “We are delighted to welcome Claire to the team. As one of the UK’s biggest private sector employers, our People Team works hard to support our employees and Claire’s extensive experience will be an invaluable addition to the team.
“It’s a busy and exciting time to be joining McDonald’s in the UK and I look forward to Claire joining our UK Leadership Team and working with her in the coming months.”
Hall said, “I am very much looking forward to joining McDonald’s UK. Over the years, the People team has delivered some significant changes and campaigns to help develop, train and recognise its expanding workforce. My new role has a wide remit which presents an exciting challenge and one I cannot wait to get started on.”
Hall will join McDonald’s UK Executive Team when she takes up the role on 1 June 2015. Her appointment follows the departure of Jez Langhorn who after 31 years with McDonald’s UK, has moved to Chicago to join McDonald’s US.
