JUST EAT sales jump by 51% in first quarter
According to released data by the company, total orders in the three months to March 31 increased by 51% over the comparable period in 2014.
David Buttress, Chief Executive Officer, said, “I am delighted with the Company’s performance over the First Quarter. The team has worked very hard in all our markets to achieve these results.”
“I am also pleased to see the continued shift of consumers to the ease and convenience of ordering food through JUST EAT’s apps and websites.”
On a like-for-like basis, orders were up 47%.
The continued growth will support the strategy of company’s ongoing investments including expansions in its technology team in Bristol to drive innovation; increasing investments in Latin America through Brazilian joint venture and the recently acquired Sindelantal Mexico; and brand marketing campaigns in earlier stage markets such as Spain.
