Amazon Restaurants to leave UK

The platform is closing their food delivery business after two years of operations in the country.

Delivery platform Amazon Restaurants will stop delivering food on December 4.

According to a report by Evening Standard, the aggregator has been sending emails to customer saying that their last day of operation will be on December 3.

The failure is said to have been caused by intense competition in the food delivery space against Deliveroo, Uber Eats and Just Eat.
