Bread Holdings' turnover sales up 14% to £68.3m
The artisanal bakery group's retail sales increased by 23%.
Bread Holdings Ltd.’s turnover has increased by 14% to £68.3m in the year ending February 2019, attributable to integration of its past acquisitions and new customers.
The artisanal bakery group brands GAIL’s Bakery and Bread Factory posted double-digit growth of 23% and 11%, respectively.
Likewise, the group’s retail sales rose by 23% to £47.7m on the back of combined new store openings and like-for-like growth.
Bread Holdings showed top-line growth of £100.7m. It has earned £2.3m in profit before tax, whilst EBITDA went up to £10.6m.
The group, meanwhile, shed £28.3m in administrative expenses compared to £25.8m last year.
Bread Holdings has opened ten new GAIL’s Bakery stores in the same period. It has expected the same number of store openings by the following year, as well as the launch of its latest acquisition, Bertinet bakery, and recently expanded main Hendon Bakery.
