Byron to close 31 stores in pre-pack deal
650 jobs were lost.
Byron Burger is set to close 31 restaurants after being saved from administration.
Only 20 of the burger chain’s 51 restaurants will transfer to its new owner Calveton UK with just 550 of its 1,200 employees being retained.
Byron appointed Will Wright and Steve Absolom from KPMG as joint administrators last 31 July, who then sold the brands and certain assets to a new company owned by Calveton, with existing investors Three Hills Capital Partners holding a minority stake.
