Comptoir Group reports 19.8% H1 revenue growth
The group ended the period with a total of 26 restaurants and 3 franchise restaurants.
Comptoir Group has announced that their first half-year report ended June 30 as revenues went 19.8% up to £15.7 million from £13.1 million of H1 2017.
Gross profit also increased 19.0% from £9.5 million to £11.3 million. Adjusted EBITDA before highlighted items rocketed from £0.2 million to £0.5 million, up by 152%.
However, the group also revealed operating loss of £395,934 from £722,998 of H1 2017.
Richard Kleiner, non-executive chairman of Comptoir Group, said that the results are driven by revenue growth in the existing estate, focus on cost management, efficiencies, innovations and continued selective investment in new restaurants.
“I am pleased to announce that despite the continuing well-publicised turbulence within the UK restaurant sector and the increase in costs, Comptoir Group have proven their strength as a resilient operator with a robust set of results delivering performance as per the Board’s expectations,” Kleiner said in the announcement.
In partnership with highway and airport food-service company HMS Host, they will be opening Comptoir stores in Cheshire Oaks on November and in Ashford on June 2019. Their second international site will launch in Dubai Airport on March 2019.
The group also said that they are expecting to end 2019 with 6 new franchised operations.
