Costa Coffee recalls its chicken and bacon pasta salad due to undeclared allergens
No other products are known to be affected.
Costa Coffee has recalled its chicken and bacon pasta salad due to undeclared allergens.
This means the product has a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy to fish, and/or mustard, and/or an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents.
In response to the product recall, Costa Coffee has contacted the relevant allergy support organisations and issued a point-of-sale notice to its customers.
“If you have bought the above product and have an allergy to fish, and/or mustard, and/or an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents, do not eat it. Instead return it to the store from where it was bought for a full refund,” the chain said in a notice to consumers.
The Food Standards Agency said it will issue an allergy alert when there is a food allergy risk, hence food companies need to recall or withdraw their products and inform the customers.
