
Deliveroo global sales jumps to 116% for YE17
The company has revealed that they now have 50,000 restaurant partners from 12 countries.
Deliveroo has announced their financial results for year ending 31st December 2017 as worldwide sales grew 116% to £277 million from £128.5 million last 2016.
They also reported that their gross profit has increased to £64.3 million from £1.1 million, and is said to be driven by their growth in their existing markets and services as well as their growing order volumes.
Their European markets saw 99% year-in-year revenue growth while the rest experienced a 207% year-in-year growth. Their net assets also rose 120% to £372 million from YE 2016’s £169 million.
“Our growth is matched only by our ambition. We want to become the world’s definitive food company and we have invested heavily in innovation, technology, people and restaurants. We are changing the way people eat and helping restaurants to expand to new areas and in new ways,” Will Shu, co-founder and CEO of Deliveroo, said.
Deliveroo also announced that they will be launching in Taiwan in a few weeks and will move into new markets in the coming months.
