
Five arrested in Patisserie Valerie serious fraud probe: report
The chain was bought out of administration earlier this year.
Five people have been arrested as part of a serious fraud investigation into the Patisserie Valerie chain, Sky News has reported.
The individuals, whose names have not been revealed, were detained as part of a joint operation with the Hertfordshire, Leicestershire and Metropolitan forces according to the Serious Fraud Office.
The chain was bought out of administration earlier this year, safeguarding nearly 2,000 jobs. The company was put up for sale earlier this year following the discovery of irregularities in its accounts.
