Fulham Shore reports revenue increase, boosted by Franco Manca chain
The company is set to open a new Franco Manca and The Real Greek site.
Fulham Shore Inc. saw its total group revenue climb in the first 21 weeks of the fiscal year, largely due to its pizza chain Franco Manca’s growth.
Franco Manca's revenue growth was bolstered by restaurant openings and increased customer numbers.
In a statement released 28 August, Fulham Shore said it has opened five Franco Manca pizzerias in the current financial year to date. Its 50th site is currently underway in Manchester.
Meanwhile, Fulsham Shore reported that like-for-like revenues of The Real Greek which specialises in Mediterranean food were slightly behind compared to last year. The group cited warmer spring and summer weather in the UK last year than this year as reason for the underperformance.
The Real Greek’s 17th site is set to open in London. The new store openings will take Fulham Shore’s restaurant portfolio to 67 restaurants in the UK.
“We are in negotiations to secure a number of sites for the current and next financial year. As previously announced, we will continue our policy of funding new restaurant openings largely through internally generated cash flow,” the company said in a statement.
