Gourmet Burger Kitchen Makes Progress as 14 out of the 17 stores slated for closure have shuttered

GBK's South African owner, Famous Brands, has announced it has now closed 14 of the 17 stores scheduled for closure under the terms of the recently agreed CVA.

The remaining three sites have shown improved performance, but "remain under review, pending further action”, the firm said in a statement.

They went on to say "The Board is satisfied that the CVA programme will achieve its goal of promoting the long-term financial viability and sustainability of the GBK business”.
