Greggs reports 9% sales growth for Q3

The increase was attributed to the stronger trading in October and November.

Greggs has announced their financial results for Q3 ended last November 24 with a 9% growth in total sales as compared to 8.2% from the same period last 2017.

Like-for-like sales also rose by 4.5% and in the year-to-date, sales increased by 6.6%.

“This stronger trading in October and November is particularly encouraging as it builds on good comparative sales in the same period last year. Operational costs have been well controlled and, whilst there is still much to play for over the final few weeks of the year,” Greggs said in their latest trading update.

The bakery chain’s board now expects their full-year underlying pre-tax profit to be at £86 million.
