Greggs’ total sales up 11.3% to £2.014b in 2024
Fourth quarter sales increased by 7.7%.
Greggs reported total sales of £2.014b for 2024 (FY2024), up 11.3% from 2023. Like-for-like sales in company-managed shops increased 5.5% year-on-year (YoY).
Total sales in the fourth quarter (Q4) increased by 7.7% compared to 2023, whilst like-for-like sales in company-managed shops rose by 2.5%.
The brand linked this to seasonal lines, including the Festive Bake, the Vegan Festive Bake, and the Festive Flatbread, which were highly sought after in Q4.
Greggs ended 2024 with year-end net cash of £125m.
Moreover, Greggs opened 226 new shops and closed 81 (28 permanent closures and 53 relocations), resulting in a total of 2,618 shops as of 28 December 2024, including 2,057 company-managed shops and 561 franchised units.
For 2025, the brand expects to open between 140 and 150 net new shops, including 50 targeted relocations.
