IRO Sushi lifts sales 29% after 2025 openings

Like-for-like sales rose to 19%.

IRO Sushi reported a 29% increase in total system sales to £18.5m, largely reflecting the addition of new outlets during 2025.

During the period, the company opened five stores, taking its UK estate to more than 30 locations.

New sites were launched in Canterbury, Newbury, Tonbridge, and Sevenoaks, alongside a further opening in West Hampstead, London.

On a like-for-like basis, sales rose 19%, which the company attributed to changes in its product range and marketing activity.

IRO Sushi plans to open at least 10 further stores in 2026, with branches in Woking and Tunbridge expected to open in the next two weeks.

A further eight locations have been identified, several of which are currently progressing through legal agreements.

The group is also assessing potential international expansion, focusing on markets without an established large-scale operator.

It expects to secure its first overseas market in 2026 and has set a target of reaching 100 sites worldwide by 2030.
