The brand plans to boost its grocery sales within two years.

King, who was already the advisor for the group, takes his position at the same time as Itsu said it plans to boost annual grocery sales to £100m in annual sales in two years.

King served as Sainsbury’s CEO for a period of 10 years before stepping down back in 2014.
