KFC reports pre-tax profit growth to £186.1 million for YE17

Its sales in the UK also increased to £423 million from £412.8 million the previous year.

KFC has reported growth in terms of pre-tax profit to £186.1 million as well as 3.8% like-for-like sales increase for the year ending December 24, 2017.

During the period they also increased their franchising mix, with 87.1% of stores now being franchised (up 12.9% year on year). This helped spur the chain to an operating profit margin of 42.2% (vs 12.6% in 2016).

These results do not cover the period earlier this year when the chain experienced supply chain problems that caused it to run out of chicken in a number of its stores.
