Leeds-based Bagel Nash bought out of administration, saving 52 jobs
The business was sold to Golden Acre Bakery Limited.
All 52 jobs at Bagel Nash were saved after the Leeds-based firm bought out of administration.
The company, known for producing and selling artisan bagels, appointed BDO LLP business restructuring partners Graham Newton and Danny Dartnaill as joint administrators of Bagel Nash Limited on 4 August.
A sale of the company’s business and assets was completed on the same day to Golden Acre Bakery Limited, which is part of the Golden Acre Food Group, following an accelerated merger and acquisition (AMA) process.
“Due to the challenging market conditions brought about by COVID-19, the company engaged BDO to undertake an AMA of the business and assets,” Newton said. "Following a successful completion of the sale, all employees have been retained.”
A spokesperson from BDO told QSR Media that it has not secured the sale of the retail business, which remains unaffected, but of the single site commercial bakery in Leeds.
