McDonald's UK marks 50th consecutive quarter of growth
The fast good giant's international lead segment reported positive growth for Q3.
McDonald’s has announced their financial results for the third quarter ended last September 30 with the comparable sales of their International Lead segment grew 5.4% up which includes countries such as the UK, Australia, Canada, France and Germany.
The increase is said to be mostly driven by their business in the UK. This period marks as its 50th consecutive quarter of having their comparative sales growth rise.
Another booster of the market’s growth is their delivery services, which represents 10% of sales.
Overall, the fast food giant reported 4.2% growth in terms of global comparable sales. However, their revenues decreased to US$5.4 billion (£4.2 billion) as compared to the Q3 results last year with US$5.8 billion (£4.5 billion).
“In addition to achieving 13 consecutive quarters of positive global comparable sales, we have made substantial progress modernising restaurants around the world, enhancing hospitality and elevating the experience for the millions of customers we serve every day,” Steve Easterbrook, McDonald's president and CEO, said.
“We remain confident that our strategy will drive long-term, profitable growth.”
