Meatless Farm layoffs workers as it sets to enter administration

The plant-based brand’s website is already offline.

Meatless Farm has reportedly entered into administration as several employees confirmed layoffs.

Head of Sales and UK Marketing Tim Offer said that the plant-based brand has ‘made all the teams redundant.

“Sadly my time at Meatless Farm has come to an end. After a fantastic 10 months leading a talented and highly engaged sales team the business has unfortunately made all the teams redundant. I learnt a huge amount in a short space of time and have absolutely loved the people and the brand,” Offer posted on LinkedIn.

Reports said that Meatless Farm has already filed a notice of intention to appoint administrators on 9 June and that Insolvency firm Kroll is now advising the firm on its options. It was previously reported by The Grocer that Meatless Farm engaged Kroll to run an accelerated sales process in hopes of securing a rescue deal for the company, with the business targeting at least £10m.

Known for producing vegan and plant-based meat options, Meatless Farms raised a total of £40m over several funding rounds since being founded in 2016 by Morten Toft Bech.
