Patisserie Valerie auditor faces probe on alleged fraud
The independent regulator will also check the financial information of the former CFO Chris Marsh.
The Financial Reporting Council, an independent regulator in UK and Ireland, has announced that they are commencing an investigation on the financial statements of Patisserie Holdings audited by accountancy firm Grant Thornton.
They will be looking on the statements of the financial years ended last 2015, 2016 and 2017 as well as the financial information by former chief financial officer Chris Marsh. The investigation comes after a £10 million accounting hole found the Patisserie Holdings.
Chris Marsh has resigned from his position last October 26 for “reserving its position in respect of any potential claims it may have against him.”
