
Restaurant Group sales up by 57% in Q1 2019
The company says store openings and concessions business traded well.
The Restaurant Group reported that its total sales rose 57% in the first 19 weeks of 2019, whilst its like-for-like sales were up 2.8%.
In a trading update, the company says the total sales increase reflects the benefit from the Wagamama acquisition and the record number of new pubs and concessions sites that opened in 2018.
“We are comfortable with the performance in the first 19 weeks of the current financial year and remain focused on realising the synergies from the Wagamama acquisition, executing on our multi-pronged growth strategy and optimising our Leisure business,” Restaurant Group plc said in a statement.
