Spudulike stores reopen months following administration

Global potato firm Albert Bartlett acquired eight of the baked-potato chain’s stores.

Two months after closing due to administration, a number of Spudulike branches have reopened across the country.

Eight of Spudulike outlets have been acquired and reopened by global potato firm Albert Bartlett. Reopened locations include Plymouth, Livingston, Manchester, York, Glasgow, Greenhithe, Norwich, Bridgend and Leeds.

"Over the years, Spudulike has had several owners and has operated as a franchise and managed operation. However, an exciting, new era dawns as our much-loved brand becomes part of the Albert Bartlett portfolio - which means top notch spuds, baked the way you love, at lower prices that will make you smile,” the firm said in a statement on their website.

Almost 300 people lost their jobs when the stores closed months last August.
