Starbucks to bolster Britain business with 100 new stores
The coffee chain is also planning to invest £30m in the UK.
Starbucks is planning to invest £30m and open 100 new stores across Britain, ending speculations that the coffee chain is planning to sell its British business.
Starbucks said it plans to refurbish its existing branches over the next three years and open new ones over the next year.
Previously, a report by The Telegraph said the company is mulling a sale as competition against rivals in the market intensified on the back of high inflationary pressures.
“Whilst we are cautious about the macro-economic environment, we will continue to invest to grow the region this year. We plan to open over 100 new stores in the UK and 300 new stores in EMEA, to continue this growth momentum,” Duncan Moir, president of Starbucks Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA) said.
