Uber reportedly in talks to acquire Deliveroo

The move is said to boost Uber’s food delivery operations in Europe.

Uber Technologies Inc. is said to have plans in buying Deliveroo for billions of dollars, Bloomberg has reported.

The London-based food delivery company was last valued at around US$2 million. However, acquisition price is unknown.

Deliveroo has 35,000 restaurant partners across Australia, Belgium, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, Ireland, Netherlands, Singapore, Spain, United Arab Emirates and the United Kingdom.

Uber Eats declined to comment when reached for a quote by QSR Media.
