Domino's trials delivery to buses
The pizza brand announced it will start delivering to bus stops so people can order pizza while on the move.
Domino’s is trialling the new service on the Catch 22 bus route from Mereside to Cleveley in Blackpool.
Customers will now be able to order from the menu by phone whilst on board the bus and their piping hot pizza will be waiting for them as they pull into their chosen bus stop.
Commenting on the news, Domino’s Blackpool Operations Director, David Woods, said: “We like a challenge at Domino’s, so after successfully delivering pizza to a train, we wanted to go one step further and offer people pizza to a bus. Those aboard the Catch 22 can curb their hunger by ordering a fresh, tasty pizza whenever and wherever they fancy.”
Passengers will be invited to take ‘pizza selfies’ on the bus using the hashtag #DominosPizzaBus for a chance to win a tasty Domino’s night in for them and their friends.
Service 22 links the South Shore areas of Blackpool with the town centre, Claremont, Bispham and Cleveleys. The route serves the Bispham campus of Blackpool & Fylde College and links the vibrant shopping areas of Cleveleys, Blackpool town centre and the Clifton retail park.
