Greggs wins 'Apprentice Employer' Accolade
The bakery chain won the Apprentice Employer Award at the North Tyneside Business Awards, held at the Village Hotel on the 1st December.
The Greggs winning submission focused on its Engineering Apprenticeship which is in its first year and currently has four apprentices enrolled on the course, in addition to the 74 retail apprentices within the business.
Roisin Currie, People Director for Greggs, said, "Greggs is proud to support apprentices. We’ve a long history of offering apprenticeships in our supply chain and have recently launched a National recruitment campaign for our new ‘Retail Apprenticeship Scheme."
