Amore di Gelato launches new Rum and Raisin Ice Cream
The ice cream brand, Amore di Gelato, unveiled a new Rum and Raisin flavour for 2016.
The latest addition to its ice cream range uses Belgium cream to create its signature white and dark rum swirl, which is then infused with a smooth raisin sauce.
According to the brand, consistent feedback found that many consumers do not like the raisins' texture when whole. To combat this, Amore di Gelato created a raisin syrup, which not only enhances the experience but also complements the use of both white and dark Jamaican rum in the recipe.
Mike Godwin, Managing Director of Amore Di Gelato, said: “When it comes to creating ice cream, we believe in making the very best that chefs can be proud of serving in their restaurants. That’s why, we’ve taken the time to get our new Rum and Raisin offering just right, by sourcing the highest quality ingredients and investing in the best way to get the perfect scoop!”
“The new product taps into the latest trend for ‘twists on traditional’ and helps chefs to offer their diners the complete range of flavours for whatever mood they’re in.”
The new product is the latest addition to its line of contemporary flavours, complementing the existing range which includes; traditional Strawberry, Chocolate, Vanilla as well as the Amaretti Amaretto and Grape.
Amore di Gelato Rum and Raisin comes packed in 2.4 litre tubs, which serves around 25 portions. Cost per 2.4 litres is £15.35.
