Black Bear Burger offers fully vegan menu at Brixton restaurant

A full vegan menu will run alongside the regular menu.

Black Bear Burger launched a fully vegan version of its restaurant menu at Brixton, which will be served alongside the regular menu.

“We’ve seen there’s not enough demand for fully vegan burger restaurants, but there is a market out there for people who want to eat less meat but still crave a great burger,” said Stew Down, co-founder of Black Bear Burger.

The vegan menu includes the Black Bear Burger with vegan cheese, plant-based smoked bacon, onion jam, and garlic mayo, and the Brisket Burger featuring a plant-based patty, plant-based pulled brisket, pink pickled onions, and garlic mayo.

Other options include The Classic, served with shredded iceberg, pickles, and burger sauce, as well as plant-based fried chicken burgers like the Hot Honey with hot honey glaze and habanero mayo, and the 20-foot Chicken with habanero mayo, pickles, and slaw.

Sides and sharers round out the menu, featuring fries, vegan Brisket Spring Rolls stuffed with plant-based pulled brisket, smoked bacon, cheese, and a seasonal slaw with a dressing.

Guests can also try its Wing Wednesdays, which offer vegan wings for just £1.25 each and weekly rotating specials.
