Burger King launches Black Bun Whopper for Halloween
The brand is launching the Halloween Whopper in the UK.
Inspired by Burger King's Black Burger in Japan, the Halloween Whopper was made with the BBQ flavour baked into the bread, with a natural colourant added to give the bun its dark black colour. Layered between the buns is a flame-grilled beef patty, topped with melted American cheese, BBQ sauce, ripe tomatoes, fresh lettuce, creamy mayonnaise, crunchy pickles, and sliced white onions.
“The introduction of the black burger in Japan created a lot of excitement for Burger King fans, with many people in the UK interested in trying the burger,” said Matthew Bresnahan, Marketing Director, Northern Europe, Middle East, & Africa.
“We love creating new and innovative experiences for our guests and we felt that Halloween was the perfect occasion to satisfy this demand!”
The brand also launched the Pumpkin Spice Latte.
The new menu additions will be available for a limited time at participating restaurants nationwide until 31st October 2015 for the recommended retail price of £4.29. The Pumpkin Spice Latte is available at £1.69 for a regular or £1.99 for a large.
