Burger King launches Vegan Royale burger

The launch also comes days after the chain committed to cut carbon emissions by 2030.

Burger King has launched a vegan version of their Chicken Royale burger.

The fast food chain teamed up with The Vegetarian Butcher to use its plant-based chicken burgers in the new vegan option, which is finished off with iceberg lettuce, vegan mayo and crowned with a toasted sesame seed bun.

The Vegan Royale will be prepared using strict cooking processes to make sure it is kept completely separate from meat, dairy and egg products, the chain said.

The launch also comes days after the chain committed to cut carbon emissions at its restaurants, depots, offices and on delivery vehicles by 2030.
