Burger King unveils the Angriest Whopper
The burger brand launched the Angriest Whopper, a sandwich with hot sauce baked into the red bun.
The Angriest Whopper sandwich packs a punch with every bite with crispy Angry onions, Angry sauce and zesty jalapenos piled high atop a flame-grilled beef patty, melted American cheese, iceberg lettuce, ripe tomatoes, and creamy mayonnaise between the red-hot bun.
To help with the launch, Burger King invited volcano specialist, and co-creator and host of “Angry Planet”, George Kourounis to guide four of the biggest Burger King enthusiasts from around the world on the adventure of a lifetime. They had the opportunity to flame grill the brand’s signature 100% beef patties over the angriest fire of all – fire retrieved from the depths of the raging Pacaya Volcano in Guatemala. The Angriest Whopper sandwich will be available in the UK from the 4th April until the 1st June, in participating Burger King restaurants priced at £4.99 for the sandwich, and £6.99 for a meal.
