Byron launches new menu with the introduction of its first vegan burger
The new menu is created to cater to the UK’s growing range of tastes and lifestyles.
Launched nationwide on April 24, the menu sees 14 new additions to the Byron line-up and has been developed to serve a range of options for the vegans and vegetarians.
Vegans and vegetarian diners will enjoy a fresh selection of plant-based dishes, whilst meat-eaters are offered even more options. The full menu launch follows the announcement by Byron’s first ever “flexitarian burger”, the centrepiece of the new menu, which blends 70% British beef with 30% sautéed mushrooms.
Amongst the new products announced today is Byron’s first ever vegan burger, the Beetnik, which comprises a beetroot falafel patty, freshly made to Byron’s own recipe and topped with baby kale, smashed avocado, tomato, pickled red onions, red pepper ketchup and a lime-dressed rainbow slaw.
New meat-based burgers, meanwhile, include a range of American-inspired braised brisket topped burgers; and the Reuben, which comes with a jug of molten cheese sauce on the side.
The new menu also retains all of Byron’s signature classic burgers, served in a bun with a pickle on the side and starting from £6.50.
Paul Mason, head of food at Byron, said, “This is our most significant menu launch yet. Byron has always been a pioneer of proper burgers and this menu aims to reflect the growing breadth of modern British burger tastes. Whether you’re a meat-lover, veggie, vegan or simply having a meat-free Monday, you’ll find yourself at home in a Byron.”
